Oral Literature Archive

We will soon be hosting audio-visual samples of the data collected by our grantees on this website for public dissemination and link to a repository where the original data sets will be stored. The World Oral Literature Project is currently in discussions with DSpace@Cambridge and the Endangered Languages Archive (ELAR) at SOAS to explore long-term strategies for the preservation and dissemination of materials relating to oral literature, and we are following the developments at CollectionSpace with interest. We are evaluating different online platforms for the delivery of rich, multimedia content, such as Synchrotext, EOPAS (an EthnoER Online Presentation and Annotation System), CuPED and Annex/Trova.

The following map shows the locations of the projects which have been funded by the World Oral Literature Project in blue, while collaborations are marked in red.
